There is this preconceived idea that every ugly and fat woman who loses weight is automatically gonna become a Stacy . And I understand where it comes from , bcz there’s many examples of women who were extremely unnatractive when they were overweight and became the complete opposite once they became skinny .

But here’s the thing. Some of us are ugly whether we are skinny or fat . Yes I understand being unnatractive and skinny is better than being unnatractive and overweight to a degree - but I’m tired of this .

I’m an overweight woman (yes, sue me) and I always hear people tell me when I lose weight I won’t be ugly anymore , how dyk that? Bcz there’s was a time I lost about 15kgs and I was still badly built and had a declining face card.

I’ve also seen and heard of a bunch of women on this subreddit and irl that they were still ugly once they lost weight .

And for me I am a black woman and the beauty standard is to be thick/curvy. And I’ve internalized that standard for myself so even if I become skinny I won’t be happy.

And I recently came to the conclusion that I have an 🍎shaped body . So i guess I’ll have to win the lottery and get a bunch of plastic surgery to get my dream body.

Not every woman becomes a Stacy after losing weight
