AI Generating Tools - Content Creation Question
AI Video Creators: What Are Your Biggest Problems With Current AI Video Tools?
I'm trying to understand what people who actually use AI video generators need—not just what the companies advertise.
There are so many tools now, and trying every subscription individually can become very expensive and wasteful. I'm hoping experienced users can help others figure out what is actually worth paying for.
I'd love to hear from creators, filmmakers, editors, animators, marketers, hobbyists, and anyone regularly generating AI video.
- What are you currently using?
Which AI video generators do you use most?
What do you use each one for?
Which one do you keep coming back to, and why?
Have you cancelled any subscriptions? What made you leave?
- What is your biggest frustration?
What makes you want to throw your computer out the window? 😂
For example:
Character consistency
Keeping the same character across multiple scenes
Motion quality
Lip-sync
Hands/faces
Camera control
Following prompts
Video length
Resolution
Generation speed
Editing workflow
Audio/voice
Watermarks
Censorship/content restrictions
Failed generations still consuming credits
- 💰 WHICH SUBSCRIPTION IS ACTUALLY WORTH IT?
This is probably the question a lot of us want answered.
If you've actually paid for these tools, please tell us:
Which subscription gives you the best value for the money?
Not just:
"This has the best quality."
But:
"For the price I pay, this is actually worth it."
Please consider:
Price → number of usable generations → quality → speed → features → commercial rights → overall value
For example:
Which tool gives you the most usable video for your money?
Which has the best quality per dollar?
Which subscription gives you enough credits for serious work?
Which one looks cheap but burns through credits quickly?
Which one is expensive but genuinely worth it?
Which plan do you personally recommend: Basic, Standard, Pro, Unlimited, etc.?
If you had only $20 / $50 / $100 per month, where would you spend it?
If you could subscribe to only ONE AI video generator, which would it be?
If you could keep TWO, which two would you choose?
Which subscription did you regret buying?
- Credits vs Unlimited
Which system do you prefer?
A. Unlimited monthly subscription
B. Credit-based generation
C. Pay per generation
D. Combination
And what do you hate most about the current systems?
Do credits make you afraid to experiment because every failed generation costs money?
How many generations do you realistically get from your monthly plan before you feel you've reached its limit?
- Commercial use
If you're creating something you want to sell or monetize, what concerns you most?
Who owns the generated video?
Can you use it commercially?
Can you use the characters commercially?
Can you use the AI voice commercially?
Can the company change its terms later?
Are there restrictions on monetization?
Watermark restrictions?
Copyright concerns?
Training-data concerns?
- What are you actually making?
I'd also love to know what you're using AI video for:
Short films
Short dramas
YouTube
TikTok/Reels/Shorts
Music videos
Animation
Storytelling
Advertising
Product videos
Children's content
Character-based series
Commercial/client work
Just experimenting
Because a tool that is amazing for cinematic shots might be terrible for someone trying to produce a 50-episode story.
- What is ONE feature you wish AI video generators had?
Not ten things. 😂
If you could magically add ONE feature that would make your workflow dramatically better, what would it be?
- What do you wish these companies would stop doing?
This one is important.
What practice do you think is unfair or frustrating?
For example:
Credits disappearing
Charging credits for failed generations
Hidden limitations
Sudden price increases
Reducing generation quality
Changing models without warning
Commercial restrictions
Watermarks
Artificially limiting generations
Poor customer support
- And finally...
If someone were building an AI video generator specifically for serious creators, what would you want it to do differently from the tools available today?
I'd especially love answers from people who have tried several different generators.
I'm not looking for a simple "best AI video tool" list.
I'm trying to understand:
What creators actually struggle with.
What they're willing to pay for.
Which subscriptions are genuinely worth the money.
And what the AI-video industry is still getting wrong.
Please share your actual experience—even if you cancelled the service. Those experiences may be just as useful as positive reviews.
Thanks! ❤️
