Bullies exposed at schools

Before I start, I want to be clear: this group of girls were bullies, and anyone who called themselves their friend or stood by them during or after this is just as guilty. This happened in Richmond/Rosenberg, TX.

Act 1: Back in 2019, a girl I'll call "A" bullied another girl, "Dee," in elementary school over a boy they both liked. It got so bad that "Dee" became suicidal. In letters, she wrote that the world would be better off without her. When I told her to report it, she said it was easier to just ignore it and hope "A" would leave her alone.

Act 2: A few years later, "A" and a tight clique on her school's volleyball team, "Ax," "U," and "N," turned on their own teammates. They mocked how girls played, yelled at them during practice, made separate group chats to talk about them, and excluded them constantly. One girl, "Raspberry," took the worst of it. Like "Dee," she was self-harming and using substances to numb the pain. I found s*****e notes in her notebook. When I told her to go to the coaches, she said it would only make things worse and that the best way to survive was to just please the clique. All of this happened in front of coaches who did nothing. It wasn't only about sports either; if another girl liked a boy the clique liked, they made sure it never happened and made her life miserable if it did.

Act 3: It followed them into high school. They made the team and kept it up, mocking teammates and yelling things like "coach, sub her out" from the sideline. One girl, "Umbrella," joined for the first time freshman year and got mocked for her athleticism, her body, basically everything about her. It was toxic. Eventually, the bullying got more discreet since the coaches didn't play favorites, so it moved to private group chats and exclusion. They'd also befriend other girls just to mock them later, sometimes over something as petty as a boy. They gave two younger girls cruel matching nicknames, "Twittle Dumb and Twittle Dumber," just for being close friends. This happened across every team they played on.

Act 4: In 2024, an investigation was finally opened into "A's" bullying. It didn't result in any real finding over a technicality. There were so many chances for someone to stop this. Coaches saw it. Adults saw it. Anyone who tried to speak up got painted as the problem instead. A lot of girls' mental health took a serious hit because of this group and the people who chose to stay close to them anyway.

If you went through something like this, it wasn't your fault, and it was never about you not being "good enough."
