Fake health tech roles on LinkedIn or just a boom in the industry due to AI investment?
Started looking at LinkedIn regularly to see what the market was like about a month or two ago, and I’ve noticed an odd uptick in job postings that are fully remote, almost always for a role at“<some tech-adjacent word here> Health(care)” with a pretty generic logo. I’ve actually had a round of interviews at one of these companies and as far as I could tell it was a real company, but something felt off about the whole process and general vibe, like not being able to find much information at all on the people interviewing me, as in not even a LinkedIn profile, and being asked incredibly simple questions for a senior role.
Could just be LinkedIn algorithm bias pushing me towards these jobs that genuinely do exist, but they all seem oddly similar and there’s a LOT of them. I see at least one new company with the same format of name once a week.
Anyone else noticed something similar? It feels like the NOIR recruitment jobs a few years back that seem to have disappeared mostly. Again, could be just algorithm bias or a genuine boom in health tech but it seems odd how similar the companies appear just from name and logos alone, as well as what they actually offer as a product or service.
