Annular Tear
I’ve been dealing with congenital spondylolisthesis for about 10 years. About 6 months ago, one of my toes went numb, though it still felt warm and had normal blood flow and movement.
I eventually had to go to the ER because of the pain. I was admitted for pain management, and physical therapy said they couldn’t help after being consulted.
I had a very brief meeting with a surgeon this morning while half asleep. I explained that I’ve been managing it with the medications from pain management, plus yoga and stretching, but the pain is severe.
My husband and I are going to speak with him again in the morning. I want to know if it’s reasonable to ask for surgical intervention, since I’ve already been managing this conservatively for years and don’t feel there’s anything else left to try.
