Which neighborhood in Manhattan should I live in?
Hii BWTs!! I live in the Bay Area but my husband and I are moving (back) to NYC! We’re both from there and grew up til teen years /early 20s, and now we’re married and want to move back to the homeland where our close friends and family are. I haven’t stayed in the city for such a long time and I’m not sure if the vibes of each neighborhood have changed so would LOVE your honest opinion where do you think I belong! Rn we’re thinking Lincoln square, Tribeca, or Chelsea - Here’s a little bit about me:
- huge wellness junkie, love my green juice, SoulCycle, and easy walkability
- love art galleries, art museums
- loveeee sushi and omakase and honestly all kinds of good food
- we’re not huge party / nightlife people but can appreciate a chic speakeasy or cocktail bar. We mostly just go out for nice dinners for fun
- my husband works in AI and I work in hedge fund, we both work remotely and he occasionally needs to go into the office in FiDi
- shamelessly a shopaholic and appreciate proximity to
- you can find me in Doen at home, Varley/vuori at the gym, and Oscar de la Renta / dolce Gabanna at events (not sure if this is relevant but I feel like BWT can appreciate the picture??)
- I do my lashes and have a weekly blowout usually
- we both feel energized by the city but not too much hustle and bustle
- obsessed with sunset water views
We like walking but we hate the subway… I know it’s gonna be tough but we’d rather uber or avoid a few lines that get extra crazy at night.
Or do you think we’ve been Bay Area fied too much to fit in in any neighborhood pls be a New Yorker and tell me straight 😭
