Recommended heaters?

My tank consistently drops to around 73-74°F. I’ve tried a variety of heaters but no improvement. My betta seems happy and healthy but I know this isn’t ideal temp, so what heaters do y’all use? I should also add that I use an external digital thermometer; do these tend to be accurate?
