Addictive hobby

Always been very glad in playing video games as a kid. But growing older I kinda lost it… with job, family, kids.

When switch came along a bought it for my son and did play it some myself as well. Handheld is very convenient. He now also have a PS5 but for me taking time to start it up, taking up the tv, etc… nah… never do it.

Bought an R36S on a family vacation for a year ago. Fun toy! A lot of memories with all those games. But then I heard the SD card was weak… so bought a new one… had to move the files… did I have a clone? Googled and searched- yea maybe… but you can re-install the proper retroarch software anyway… aha… got into that… did that.

Got my eyes on the retroid pocket 6… ordered it… as ”a fun project”… and oh my god this is a fun project. Different emulators, ES-setup, scraping box art, fix the controls, … this is madly addictive 🤪 but very fun! Wonder if you ever get to the ”perfect setup”. My colleague said that it sounded like I had ”build a moped project”… but for someone in tech 😁

(I have played a few minutes also… but have come to terms with myself that the tinkering, configuration, installation, testing, fixing is a part of the flow I want in my brain as well 😁)
