40F. Why is this so hard?

I have been posting on Reddit for a few days now. I've received hundreds of replies and the majority of dudes are total losers and deviants. I feel I'm not really asking for a lot, except to meet a halfway decent human being with SOME of my interests. Should I just hang up the towel and give up? Getting pretty disgusted and discouraged.
