Urgent Xpresspost package please help

Hi,

So every month I order custom herbal medicinal tinctures for my daughter's ADHD. We use xpresspost and its from BC to Alberta (Edmonton). Almost everytime in the last 12 months since we started, its here by Wednesday

There was a sorting error in which it went to Halifax. But it came back into Edmonton on Thursday morning, well before the usual final facility scan at 630am MST, and tracking said by end of today, the entire day. Then another scan in Edmonton at 710pm, and now delivery date changed to August 17??! What? Its already in Edmonton, went to 2 different sorting facilities in Edmonton, wiith zero service delays, and its going to take 4-5 more days? I have never experienced this in decades of ordereding CP parcels

I googled it and the only answer I got was that maybe it missed a scan or sorting delay, and the system automatically added another 2 business days after 8pm cutoff, but it may update the next morning and change to today again?

Sorry I am very anxious about this one, my daughter has an event this weekend, and we actually desperately need this parcel by today (Friday), that im even trying to contact seller for another order but with another courier with same day priority delivery

So do you have any experience with this? Can anyone enlighten us with a similar situation where it turned out good and the delivery date changed back to 'today' and got your package anyway? Its a unique situation, but im hoping the reddit masters would have some guidance on this
