Experiences hosting a baby shower/small event at a Chicago Park District clubhouse?

I'm expecting my first baby and am interested in throwing a baby shower at a CPD event space, most likely the Humboldt Park Fieldhouse sometime this fall. I'm looking to hear experiences hosting small events (30-60 people) at any Chicago Park District park (indoors!) and what it was like for you either as a host or guest.

My budget for rental is max $400-500 and I'm planning on bringing in my own catering (no alcohol either, so no permit needed for that).
