Loved the game, a strong contender for Game of the Year for sure. Aside from some tedious back-tracking for collectibles, the trophy-hunting journey was quite fun as well. I did everything on Intended difficulty, including TacSim and said story backtracking. As I was looking through the different percentages next to the individual trophies, though…I noticed something that kinda gives me hope (as corny as it sounds).

It’s the fact that all the story-related trophies are “Common”! The last story-related trophy (earned after beating the last chapter) in particular has been earned by 53% of players (up by around 2% last time I checked a few days ago). The reason I’m bringing this up is because this sort of thing (arguably, anyway) proves that a lot of people out there still care about and value single-player games!

Now I know that this game had already sold well and all, but the fact that a majority of the players (on PS5, anyway) that picked this game up also played it all the way through is really indicative of how well it resonated with them. In the midst of live-service multiplayer games being the most popular kind of thing in gaming at the moment in this point in history, this was refreshing to see. Normally when I look at stats like this for trophies from single-player games, it would taper off from Common to Rare as I would read down the list from early- to late-game story chapters/segments. Fortunately, not the case this time. Anyway, I wish IOI more success and sales for their game once it comes out for Switch 2 as well.
