The fact that the weapons are inconsistent is actually the biggest clue. Shirahoshi is biological. She is the only one of the three Ancient Weapons that still exists in her original form, as a living being. I think the other two were exactly the same before Imu got to them.

**Uranus Was the Whale**
I think Uranus was the whale, the Rain God. The Shandians were inspired by the Aztecs, and in Aztec mythology the Rain God is characterized by a rain of fire. But his body was converted into a weapon. We already know Devil Fruits can be placed into weapons. The same thing probably also happened to Pluton.

That’s also why Franky’s blueprint would have been useless. The blueprint was only for a vessel. The Devil Fruit that should have gone into it would have been missing.

**The Mapping**
The Ancient Weapons are the gods. Poseidon is the Sea God. Pluton is the Earth God. Uranus is the Rain God. The Forest God is the only one who was never seen as a weapon, probably because his power is healing rather than destructive.

And the Sun God isn’t a god at all. It’s a title. In Aztec mythology there was never one permanent Sun God, each world had a different one, and each one was eventually overthrown. Oda deliberately puts “Sun God” in quotation marks in the Harley text and never uses it straight. It’s not a birthright. It’s a throne that gets taken by force.

**The Same Story Told Differently**
We know Oda has overlapped multiple mythologies deliberately. We’ve spent so long trying to piece together the traditions of the Shandians, the giants, and the Poneglyphs as if they were different sources. They aren’t. They’re the same story told from different perspectives. Every people in One Piece has a different view of the gods. It’s the traditions themselves that are meant to mislead us.

I make my content in German, so I’m not expecting you to support me on socials but ofc I wouldn’t mind if you still do :) Happy to discuss or get challenged on any part of this in the comments.

The three Ancient Weapons weren’t just named after gods. They were the gods.
