Soon, Some of Us Will Part Ways with Oracle—What’s Next?
I am planning to retire from IT this December. I started my career almost 30 years ago, and the industry has changed tremendously—Scrum, constantly evolving technologies, endless meetings, and now AI transforming how development is done.
Over the past three years, I’ve relied heavily on ChatGPT for much of my work. Coding alone no longer feels like the specialized expertise it once was, and I keep wondering: Where is all this heading, and when does the constant cycle of change end?
Is anyone else simply bored or burned out after working in IT for so long? What are you planning to do next?
