Finding a job after 4 years

I passed the bar straight out of law school in 2022, but then got a job in Canada in a legal and business operations role (tech) so didn't get sworn in until 2025. I therefore mostly have experience in tech contracts/privacy, but as this wasn't an attorney role, employers count me as having 0 experience.

I'm looking to work as an attorney now, and have applied to some legal aid clinics to do some pro bono work to gain some experience and mentorship in other areas of law.

Is there anything else I should be doing? Would also welcome stories from other lawyers who meandered around haha. Thank you!
