First Paid Google Ads Campaign Looking for Advice
Hey everyone, looking for some advice. This isn’t the first campaign I’ve set up, but it’s the first one I’ve actually spent money on, so I’m still learning.
I’m running a local junk removal campaign CA. After 7 days:
● 468 impressions
● 24 clicks
● 5.13% CTR
● ~$10 CPC
● ~$240 spent
● 5 people clicked the text button
● No confirmed calls yet
I’m using a GoHighLevel (GHL) tracking number for calls. Google Ads shows one call interaction, but there’s no call history on the tracking number. So I’m not sure if someone clicked the call button but didn’t complete the call, or if there was a tracking issue.
The text button goes directly to the business owner’s phone (not ghl tracking #). I’ve seen 5 text-button clicks in Google Ads, but I haven’t talked to the owner yet to confirm whether those people actually sent texts or if any turned into jobs.
It seems like people may be choosing to text rather than call. My thought is that calls are probably more valuable for junk removal, so I’m considering making calling the primary CTA and texting secondary.
I’m also using Maximize Clicks. Is it too early to switch to Maximize Conversions with this little conversion data?
Would appreciate any advice on whether these numbers look promising and what you’d change.
