Gameplay in career mode

Am not sure of this will make sense, but even with the realism that ea tried to add to the career mode gameplay, the games feel so repetitive and soulless for a career mode.

The goals all feel very similar, theres hardly any variation in them, and some are just incredibly weird or unrealistic and ruin the entire career mode for me.

Maybe its just me, but I find some older fifas like 14 18 even 21 and 22 with sliders did this drastically better, but still not good enough.

Are there any other football games that can give this sense of realism in gameplay? Maybe one of the older pes titles?
