People who think disagreeing = misunderstanding

I’m soooo tired of people resorting to “you missed my point” or “you didn’t understand me” and continue to drone on and on and on the same miserable paraphrasing of their original point.

I understood your point. I disagree. My disagreement is not a lack of comprehension. You rewording it 50 times, you speaking louder, you getting emotional doesn’t change that fact that I comprehend and still disagree. You haven’t made your argument any more compelling by simply assuming that I’m too stupid to- and rather than exploring the areas in which we disagree you keep pounding your head against the same wall.

People are so set that THEIR viewpoint is the only right one that someone disagreeing must mean they’re just too stupid to understand.
