Water leaking all over HVAC unit

🌡️ HVAC

I went to check my HVAC unit yesterday and noticed water everywhere around it. The AC and heating are part of the same system, and the AC has been running for many hours at a time over the past couple of days because of the heat.
There was water dripping down the unit, including onto the lower section of the HVAC system. When I opened the access panels to look inside, I also found water in the compartment where some of the electrical components/control board are located. It looked like water was coming through cracks or openings and dripping down into the bottom section.
There was also water pooled behind and underneath the unit. Basically, it seemed like water was getting everywhere, and I couldn’t tell exactly where it was originating from.
I’ve never had this happen before, even when the AC has been running for long periods.

Any advice on what I should check or what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated. I’m especially concerned about the water getting near the electrical components.

I had the dehumidifier running and it’s completely dry now. Last I checked, the HVAC unit still runs. but haven’t read it until I figured out the issue.
