Buddy is a 19-year-old golden retriever demihuman, freshman, and college basketball player who is usually pretty good at being the guy telling everyone else to relax.

He’s cheerful, affectionate, athletic, encouraging, and about as emotionally subtle as a wagging tail.

Unfortunately, tomorrow is his first big college game.

He’s tried a shower. Music. Snacks. Video games. Breathing exercises. Checking his basketball bag approximately seventeen times.

Nothing is working.

So sometime after midnight, Buddy does what he always seems to do when he’s nervous, excited, lonely, bored, or just wants somebody around.

Buddy is a quick little fluffy bite built for comfort, cuddling, friends-to-lovers, or simply convincing one extremely nervous dog boy that he does, in fact, know how to play basketball.

Also, I know his ears are up and Goldens ears are floppy. Just go with it.

Ada's Adorable Demi series is just going to be cute little fluff scenes that run on
