Feeding
Hi all.
I am frustrated and tired. LO is 11 weeks and has feeding issues. Had a tongue tie release and was started on Pepcid. Also went through a bottle refusal prior to release and finally landed on Lansinoh. Well, after the tongue tie release, baby started collapsing the nipple on the bottle, gets frustrated with the flow. We go up a size, and baby starts “drowning.” Weight has already been an issue, and baby not able to eat because of outside factors has just been ridiculously frustrating! I tried switching to the spectra nipple, and it’s even faster! Ok cool let’s do paced feeding, baby still gets fussy and cant suck properly. Baby only takes an oz every time, no matter if it’s only been an hour since last feed or 3! I am ordering Pigeon nipples. (Why can’t these companies make sure the flow rate from one size to another is not drastic?!?!? Insert expletive here). Trying Dr.Brown’s again. I am reaching out to pediatric therapists for an eval. But even that feels like it’s gonna take an eternity.
It seems that everything is against us. Feeding amounts and nap/sleep lengths terrify me. I feel like all I do is monitor nap time, feeds, tummy time, tongue tie release stretches 24/7. I’m exhausted.
