What is a good substitute for a cup of salsa?

I recently came across a recipe for Instant Pot chicken burrito bowls that calls for a cup of salsa. The problem is that I hate onions (sensory issue) and afaik all salsas contain onions. Since the recipe also calls for 4.5oz of green chilies my original idea was to use a can of Rotel in place of the salsa/green chilies, however Rotel is only available in 10oz cans at my grocery store and I need 12-13oz.

I could just buy two cans of Rotel and weigh out what I need but I would be wasting most of the second can, which I’m not a fan of. I’m not sure what else I could do as a substitution though. Any ideas would be appreciated =)
