Thanatos: Rest easy, Miss Embers. You need your strength to heal. Trust me—let the parasite do its job.

Emma: I... won't... let... you... take me...

Thanatos: Don't talk. Just rest.

Emma: (Passes out)

Thanatos: Good. Stay right where you are—Thanatos to Command. Come in, Command.

Command: Loud and clear, Thanatos. What's your status in Ferris City?

Thanatos: Team A is compromised, along with Teams C and D. Teams B and E remain green, sir. The bio-weapon sweep began four hours ago, per your orders.

Command: We can't afford unchecked mutations spreading across Ferris City. We need that data to understand this virus strain so that we can treat and combat it effectively.

Thanatos: Understood, sir. I also have an update on the main target—Emma Embers.

Command: Yes. What's her condition? Is she still alive?

Thanatos: She's fine. A bit battered from my attacks, but alive and intact. The parasite chose to spare her rather than continue fighting me—unusual, but understandable given the damage she sustained.

Command: Thank God. If she had died, decades of research on the Totum parasite would be lost forever. What's your location, Thanatos?

Thanatos: Building overlooking Town Park, sixth floor, room 35A. There’s a helipad on the roof.

Command: Acknowledged. Rendezvous with the coordinates we've uploaded to your nav system. A helicopter is waiting for you. ETA is about 20 minutes—make sure you get there.

Thanatos: Will do. One concern—EMBCE-01 is still patrolling the streets, hunting for Miss Embers. I don't know her exact whereabouts, but if EMBCE-01 finds us, she’ll try to take her.

Command: You’ll manage. If you encounter her, you’re more than capable of stopping her.

Thanatos: I've never faced her in close combat, Command. I've run simulations, but nothing matches real experience.

Command: Like I said, you’ll be fine.

Thanatos: Understood, Command. Will proceed to the LZ with extreme caution.

(CRASH!)

Thanatos: (Turns around) Shit. Should've known you'd come here.

“Should’ve known you’d come here.” (Project: Undefined)
