Experience with Adderall XR

I was diagnosed with ADHD and my Dr prescribed Adderall XR 10 mg to start.

Yesterday was my first day on it and I made the mistake of taking it with coffee and on an empty stomach. I felt anxious and jittery all day and had what I’ve heard to be a “crash” at night before it wore off. I didn’t get good sleep either.

Today I didn’t drink coffee and ate something with it and didn’t feel as anxious but I don’t really feel anything working.

Not sure if this is supposed to be normal. I’m also experiencing some type of flushing where I’m starting to feel hot in my face which doesn’t seem to be normal.

Has anyone had a similar experience with Adderall XR and did you stay on it to see how it went or did your Dr change you to something else?
