Are these monsters supposed to be fun?

There are monsters in this franchise that constantly spam charging attacks. They will charge, turn around, charge, turn around, charge, turn around, charge. Especially common in old gen games

How are these fights meant to be enjoyable? You just keep exploiting their turn around animation to hit them in the head over and over as they keep repeating the same attack
