Quitting opiates and Kratom after ten years with suboxone

I’ve been an addict my whole life. I’ve gotten clean off of meth myself. clean off of alcohol. quit smoking weed. quit pain pills a year ago. I was taking anywhere from 10-35 a day. my husband and myself both were. it was costing us up to $500 a day. plus the bills, the business the kids etc. we ran our own business full time but went through an FBI investigation. we needed the pills to work and beat it all. we ended up beating the fbi bullshit. decided we needed to quit the pills. switched to Kratom thinking it would be fine. got into 7oH. moved to Florida. 7oH is illegal so we switched to STAx. started feeling like shit all the time so we decided to get into a program to help us quit. we got in the program, went to the doc. started suboxone yesterday. well my husband took sub 8 hours after his last kratom pill. I toughed it and waited 24 hrs. I’m feeling decent. I had the shits and the sweats and restless leg and suboxone helped it but I had to take a full tab. my husband only waited 8 hours and it sent him into precipitated withdrawal bad. the man suffered in bed for 24 hours with no relief. he took 40mg of suboxone and still, no relief. any time he takes a suboxone it seems to make him worse. has this happened to anyone before? he took opiates 8 years before I started because of a military injury and a car wreck. could he actually need opiates to be okay?
