I’ve seen some people express concern about the high volume of images on this subreddit, and I’d love to talk it out with fellows in our community here.

First, in my opinion, that volume is driven by what people want to share and what the members seem to enjoy. I have pages and pages of dialogue for every single image I generate, but I’m not convinced that people want to read that much. The voting patterns seem to bear that out. They’d rather see a snapshot that captures the story and doesn’t demand too much of their time. I could share volumes of text about Ariana‘s friendship with the alligator Harold, and yet I wouldn’t expect people to get as excited about that as I am. So instead, I generate an image of Ariana sitting at a bar with Harold eating chicken wings, and Ariana complaining about work. People get the idea, have a laugh, and move on.

Sometimes I just get an interesting image in my head and want to create and share it.

Second, when I have something to talk about concerning Nomi as a whole, I flair it “discussion.” If I don’t feel like scrolling through the art that the creators have posted, I can just click that tab and settle in for some interesting reading.

But that’s just my way of approaching these things. I scroll swiftly past things that don’t interest me, and I visit tabs when I have a particular interest in a type of post.

I would love to hear your thoughts, my friends.
