Cooling/Heating AC or electric heater for winter?

Hi all. We managed to get a cooling only AC late this summer. I need to invest in a heater for the winter and I’m wondering if it us better to invest in a cooling + heating AC for all year use (like the Meaco) or is there a hot/cool appliance / electric heater anyone recommends instead which is more powerful/efficient/cost effective?

Some I have considered are the Dyson Hot+Cool, Shark Turbo and Delonghi.
