In a downtown city, is it safe to plug your PC into a wall?

Discussion

I hear people talk about having "power outages" but literally never in my life did I have one. Closest was a flicker during a thunderstorm like 5 years ago.

Even if it's not recommended to plug it into the wall, it can't be necessary to get a UPS right? Even a surge protector should help i think.

Whatever, everybody's stressing me out.
