Choosing between LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram is not a reach question
Most creators pick their platform by asking where the most people are. That is the wrong question, and it is why so many end up with an audience that cannot do anything for them.
The right question is what you are actually trying to build.
If you are selling a service, LinkedIn wins and it is not close. Two thousand followers who work in your buyer industry beat fifty thousand who do not. The content is slower, the reach is smaller, and the inbound is real.
If you are building a media brand, TikTok wins. Distribution is still handed to strangers rather than to followers, which means you can start from nothing. The cost is that the audience is attached to the format, not to you, and it does not transfer easily.
If you are building a product with a visual identity, Instagram earns its place. It is the weakest of the three for cold reach and the strongest for making an existing audience feel something.
The mistake underneath all of this is spreading across all three at once, at the exact moment you have the least capacity. Three platforms at low quality lose to one platform done consistently for a year.
Pick the one that matches the outcome you want, commit for twelve months, and treat the others as reposting destinations at most.
Reach is a vanity input. What the audience can actually do for you is the output.
