I'm quitting white collar work to go abroad and work as a mechanic. Does it make sense in my circumstances?

Other

I'm a non engineer and have been in UX and Product designing for 2 years now and the market looks seriously bad. It's like every month some new tools come and I have to change my process to fit in the competitive environment. I'm exhausted of constant screen grinding and not seeing daylight for hours.

Although most of my work was digital/screen based, I've always liked hardware. I have development concepts for 2 physical products ready to launch if I can get funding but despite that, the uncertainty and rat race is making me lose my mind.

I have 2 options

Option 1: get a masters degree, pivot to industrial/robotics design and start my own startup or join a product company/innovation lab

Option 2: get vocational training as an automobile mechanic and do my design work as a side gig. This way I'll have a job security, stability amd chance to get PR.

I love cars and bikes anyways. I've been modifying mine since I was gifted one at 19. I have designed and made an automated lock system for our home, made an interactive lamp with computer vision.

I once restored a whole cycle in 7th grade and added all new parts on the old frame including chains and tires and painted the whole thing.

I'll work with physical materials so I'll have a lot of hands on knowledge to which I can add my creativity to and sell products of my own

I need a genuine take on the direction I'm thinking at.
