4Runner vs grand highlander vs traverse

Wanting to replace my vehicle with either one of these. We are a family of 4. Just 1 kid in car seat (will be out of car seat in 4 years), the other kid is preteen.

We absolutely love the 4Runner but fuel wise, we aren’t sure about it.

We technically don’t need a third row but we sometimes get family members visiting and would prefer to drive one vehicle vs 2.

The z71 traverse is pretty much cheaper and loaded. We don’t want to buy just because it’s cheaper and will eventually be a pain in the rear in the future if it’s not reliable and requires a lot of repairs.

People suggested grand highlander since it has the 3rd row option and a Toyota.

My current vehicle is a 2012 terrain with 130,000km. Bought it new and still in working condition but would like to upgrade now.
