Youth leaders, how are you currently handling attendance?

I'm curious how other youth groups actually do this.

I've seen everything from paper sheets on a clipboard, spreadsheets, QR codes, someone calling names, and various church management systems.

The thing I've noticed is that attendance sounds simple until you're trying to get 40–100 young people checked in quickly while leaders are also trying to actually run the night.

A few things I'm curious about:

• What do you currently use?
• How long does check-in usually take?
• Do you keep attendance history?
• Do you have emergency contact information easily accessible to leaders?
• What happens if you need to quickly account for everyone during an emergency?
• What's the one thing you wish your current system did better?

I'm actually building a small platform around this problem and I'm trying to make sure I'm solving a real problem rather than just building features that sound good on paper.

Would genuinely love to hear how other groups handle it.
