HD 550 and Schiit Valhalla 2

Color me surprised. Usually my HD 500 series headphones sound kind of grainy on a tube amp, it’s not as good as pairing as it is with my HD 600.

But this.

I don’t think there’s a big scale up in sound quality with the 550 and the Valhalla 2 like there is with the 600 and the Valhalla 2, but it does sound really good without sounding grainy.
