What is happening in Mount Pleasant?

I’ve lived in Mount Pleasant for a little over a year now and the place has gone to absolute shit. In the last couple of months alone packages started disappearing from my porch (this hasn’t been much of an issue before), my camera captured an attempted break-in into my house, and a few days ago my car was broken into in broad daylight - in my own garage - savages broke a window and stole a stinky gym bag.

I checked local crime statistics that showed relentless property crimes in the last few months. It feels a little nuts to say but I felt so much safer living in Philly. What the hell is going on?
