Trachtenberg and Hayden Panettiere are both gone, and I can't stop thinking about it

Michelle was Jenny in EuroTrip. Hayden was Beth Cooper. February 2025 and yesterday. 39 and 36.

They were in Ice Princess together back in 2005. Two girls at the very start of everything, in the same movie, and now both gone before 40.

I Love You, Beth Cooper is one of my favourite films. The whole thing only works because Hayden made you believe a girl could be worth that much build-up, and she was. I've rewatched it more times than I can count.

I know they weren't at the peak of their fame. I know the internet forgets in a week. But these weren't distant famous people to me. They were in the movies I grew up on, and something about that makes it feel personal in a way celebrity news usually doesn't.

I'm just sad. That's the whole post.
