Police breaking the law
I was following a police car through town earlier today, and witnessed them jumping a set of red lights. The police car was not on blues and twos. I went into the local police station and said that if I had done that, it would be 3 points and £100 fine and showed them my dashcam footage. The officer said "it doesn't matter, it was on amber." I told her that the video clearly shows the lights on red before the police car got to the lights, it even shows the car slowing to an almost stop before flooring it through the lights. I told her she was wrong and that amber means stop. She tried telling me amber means get ready to stop. At this point I lost my shit and demanded to speak to someone who actually knew the law. 2 other officers came out and said point blank that they would not investigate it as it is a claim against their fellow officers (I have a recording of them saying this). It boils my piss that its rules for them and different rules for the rest of us. What should I do now? Theres no way I want them to get away with this?
