Vitmedin dosage timing question for cat

Hello- Our cat receives 1 dose of liquid Vitmedin 1.25 ml, twice a day about an hour before food. A pet sitter will be administering the medicine while we are away, but the visits are 30 min each. Is it ok for them to administer the medicine at the start of the visit and feed him his meal after 20 min?
