Nature is a Cold B*tch

The alternative to religion is data found by science like evolution, etc. But nature is not a comforting environment. I'm not the alpha male leader of my group. I can't get laid whenever I want. My genes won't be passed on to the next generation. And society and civilization is not much better. I don't make as much money as I want either. So how do you deal with all this without religion? Sometimes the offer of religion seems sweeter than nature's cold hard, wet, dominant tribes, and super gene specimens like Tarzan.
