Announcing to in-laws + SIL gender reveal

Closing out the first trimester in a week and thinking of ways to announce to my husbands family.

This is our second child via IVF, first was born in 2024 if that matters.

I want to be mindful because my sister and brother in law announced back in May and are 6 weeks ahead of us. This is their first. I’m almost certain they’ll be revealing the gender at the next family get together which will be Labor Day weekend.

The Labor Day celebration is just a general bbq, NOT a gender reveal.

Would we be imposing if we announced our pregnancy during this time? I don’t know why I feel a bit uncertain about it. Am I overthinking? I just want to allow them the spotlight being that it’s their first.
