Want your opinions

So im not asking for legal advice, please dont troll me. Im genuinely asking for your opinion. So ill tell you my story. Ill try to keep it short as well. I was driving on the highway and i had to get over on an exit to make a u-turn. I cut some guy off and well name him john. John was in the car with his buddies. I cut him off went into the uturn and john went r and did not follow me. Well i guess john felt some way about it and further down the road is a gas station he cut through to drive on the shoulder to catch up with me because once i hit that exit, i was in traffic. Now he drives recklessly on the shoulder and catches up and cuts in front of me and has me stop abruptly to the point i was so close i thought i hit him. I didnt know it was him i thought it was another driver just driving crazy and trying to skip traffic. Well i pull over and there was a fast food restaurant next to where i pulled over and they did as well. I have a CCW and its me and my wife. I get out the car and john and two other buddies do as well. They are 6’7 ski masked up guys wearing all black. I then noticed its the guy i cut off and they are about to jump me. Again its just me and my wife. I pull up my shirt and put my left hand out and tell them to back up i have a weapon. Because 2 of the guys were closing the distance on me and the third was hanging by the car. Halfway between my car and theirs the second guy stops because he sees i have a CCW and john the main guy i guess he doesnt care. So he comes up to me. I have my hand out and my other hand on my weapon in my holster as i didnt know what he had in his pockets as well i didnt want him to take my firearm. He is assaulting me atp. He is pushing me. Slapping my hand down that i have extended as im walking back not trying to engage. I didnt want to be in a position where he got me down and his friend wasnt to far to jump in, nor did i want to fight. I walk back about ten feet and hes still the aggressor. He then turns away and punches my sideview mirror clean off. My wife during this whole time is recording and calling the cops. John and his buddies then walk away to the car and starts to get in. I tell my wife take a picture of his license plate as he is trying to leave and he committed property damage. My wife goes kinda close to get a good picture and John inside his car then gets back out and then gets into a fighting stance with my wife and rushes her. I then take out my weapon and point it at him for about 4 seconds and then point it at the ground with my finger off the trigger as it shows in videos taken by witnesses. He backs down a bit still aggressive and barking at me but he is not rushing towards me or my wife. I got arrested for agg assault with pointing. And unlawful use. Im pretty far into my case and most likely will take it to trial but i just want some opinions on fellow CCW carriers. I understand states have different laws. I want real hard answers whether you would do the same, whether i was in the right. Ive gotten a lot of answers saying your defending your wife and yourself against 3 guys who chased you down ski masked up. I didnt know if he had a knife. Or a gun when he got back in his car. I pointed as i felt my wifes life was threatened.
