31M - Safe to have sex with Phimosis?

I've had phimosis as long as I can remember but it didn't affect my daily life so I never bothered to fix it. Wasn't sexually active or anything. Recently entered into a long distance relationship and are meeting soon. She is concerned that she will hurt me during sex while I'm pretty confident it'll be fine as long as we use lube and such. Any advice/tips for this? I've read some stuff about just using condoms and lube to avoid any issues.

I am doing stretches and using prescribed steroid cream in the meantime but I doubt I'd gain full retraction by the time we meet.
