Could you lovely people help me figure out why I can't summon a second companion?

So for context I am playing a Spirit Walker, and for the build idea think Beast Master Hunter from WoW with 2 big Pets. The two I want to use are Rakkan the Yeti, and Xyclucian the Chimera.

Now I know I can have 1 companion base, and my Wild Protector doesn't count towards my companion limit.

I tried taking Trusted Kinship to add 1 more Companion, and only 1 of the 2 I want will summon. I tried also wearing the Yriel's unique armour which grants another companion, and same thing happened. With the Kinship node, the armour and being a Spirit Walker, I should be able to have 3 companions tamed, and the purple gummy bear

I've tried re-taming both, I've tried the socketing bug workarounds that I've found, still one companion and purple gummy bear on screen

What am I doing wrong here?
