Warm Welcome Suggestions

I am a second year SPED teacher, and I am needing some ideas for a warm welcome that is not content based. I am a "cinefile" so last year I tried to do like a "movie trailer of the day"(students would eventually just get their phones out, instead of paying attention), or a "vs. match"(ex: mrs doubtfire vs Granny from looney toons) The latter fell short, as I ran out of characters that students knew. I have thought about a movie quote of the day or something of that sort???

I am open to any ideas out there!
