This bike has been such a fun piecing together of random handmedowns,

First the frame set and brakes, a vintage Malvern star with some tektros was given to me

I welded a tool box on as a seat to dink my gf to work and carry a 6 park to the park in

Then I stripped the paint and did some fuckery to put a modern bb in this old frame as well as routed all the cabling internally

Then I was pointed towards a track frame in the bin that had the dura ace wheelset in it which I threw a freewheel on and a mate gave me free reign to dig through a box of spares where the derailleur and crankset came from

Frame bag was a loaner from a housemate and fits the bike perfectly

A 27.2 dropper post was salvaged from a donation bike and machined to fit the 26.8 seat post and internally routed to the stem shifters which were on an abandoned frame on the side of the road

Managed to fit 700x40c on with no trouble due to the huge tyre clearance to the seat post

It’s been treating me very well and has been so much fun to ride, I’m slowly adding to it including the handlebar bag and a knockoff brooks

Next up I’d love to lace some wide, high shoulder carbon v brake rims to this hub set and continue the Frankenstein vibe

Thanks for reading
