Question about NY business

Location: NJ/NY

Hi all, I have a registered LLC for Professional Engineering in NJ. I wanted to take on some projects in NYC from some registered architects, as I am a licensed professional engineer in both NJ and NY. Majority of my work is in NJ and my office is also in NJ. My question is, should I submit just form for Application for Authority? Or do I also need to register as a Foreign Professional Limited Liability Company (PLLC) ? My partner is not licensed in NY state, so I dont know if I can even register the company as a professional llc with just myself licensed. Thank you and I can provide more information if needed.
