doubts about my septum

hi guys, im a bit confused, ive been a 2 mm (12 gauge) in my septum for some months now, i was thinking about stretching it to 8g/3mm, i wear a circular barbell and i'm struggling to figure out which diameter i should buy, i always had 10 mm diameter since i had it pierced and i always love how it is. would it have the same look even if i size up or i should buy a 8 mm one?
