I feel that we feed on a global illusion that reality is certain in life (when we are finite and only began to accumulate stages of consciousness through time), while assimilating slowly into what we mentally see as a normal society, and use this to buttress the mental urge driving us to search for more experience to therefore form an increasingly believable approximate and satisfactory depiction of a reality that when examined from a neutral standpoint, may be far more terrifying than it seems.
