28F USA — Looking for a genuine online friend

Age 26-29

I’m in a happy long-distance relationship, so I’m **not looking for anything romantic**. I also don’t really have any IRL friends nearby. The few close friends I do have live a couple hours away, so I only see them a few times a year, and they aren’t really the type to stay in constant contact.

Honestly, I just miss having someone I can message throughout the day. Someone to send random thoughts to, talk about a show we’re watching, share music, complain about life, send dumb memes, talk about hobbies, or just say “look at this thing I saw” to

I’m especially hoping to find someone who enjoys **actually keeping in touch**. I don’t expect anyone to be available 24/7 or reply immediately every single time, but if we regularly go hours or days without talking, I’ll probably feel like we’re not really building much of a friendship.

A little about me: I’m pretty introverted and definitely a homebody. I like movies/shows, photography, museums, bookstores, thrifting, cozy nights in, reading, and Postcrossing (sending and receiving postcards). I’m also happy to hear about whatever random interests you’re into, even if I know absolutely nothing about them.

For now, I’d prefer to keep things to Reddit messaging and see if we actually click and stick around. I’m also not really a voice/video call person, so just a heads up.

If you’re also looking for a **platonic online friend** and this sounds like we might get along, feel free to message me! It would be nice if you included your age and location/time zone too. I’ve found that being in a similar time zone makes it a lot easier to actually talk regularly.
