When you live in a world full of superheroes, supernatural forces, and scientific experiments gone wrong, there's a lot of things you have to deal with everyday: sometimes a fight downtown destroys the the train so you end up an hour late to your job, sometimes the company you work for gets bought out by a megacorporation attempting to fight the all-powerful heroes ranging from aliens to half-gods, and sometimes your better half discovers his own gifts resulting in your time together getting shoved down his priority list because he feels he has to contribute even if his powers might be lame. With Great Power comes yadda yadda... You get the picture.

I'd be lying if I said it was all downsides though, since there are a few decent perks to living in a city constantly embroiled in war between ridiculous costumes and codenames. Rent is cheap, public infrastructure usually gets rebuilt constantly and is always new, cops almost feel obsolete when even stolen bikes get treated as top priority for some new vigilante trying to make their name known. Even hiding your own powers isn't hard when it seems like two out of every twenty people on the bus have some kind of talent that just isn't very useful for crimefighting.

The best part might just be the strangest, since living in a mixed society of humans, metahumans, alien, and earth-born non-human life means they more or less settle into coexistence filtering down to alien food in coffee shops, corner stores that sell cures to magic curses, and dating apps where you kind find all kinds of monsters between the single dads and gym guys.

\*\*Xuux'olgk, 1332?\*\* He, or rather They, explain in their bio that the original viral strain recovered from a crashed alien vessel in the Antarctic was on ice for a couple centuries, but all the researchers it melded together once the experiment destroyed the lab were roughly 20-late 40s. Honestly? I didn't read it. I already swiped after the last picture and was already in the shower shaving my legs in a few minutes. Personally, I just prefer to just be direct when we're already on an app like this anyways.

It might've been the far side of town in the basement of an abandoned chemical plant, but as soon as I walked down the stairs and saw the formless protoplasm along the walls and floor with dozens of jet-black eyes looking at me, I was kind of giddy, to tell the truth. It felt a bit funny he managed to get some wildflowers picked to give me, but honestly I didn't come to play hard to get. The only thing I told him after taking my jacket off was, "My only rule is nothing goes in my ears or nose, alright? If you're down to go raw, you can take both holes."

As for who our leading lady is, I'm down for it to be an alternate universe version of some character that already exists like Raven, Spider-Gwen, Supergirl, Atom Eve, Comics MJ etc, or we can invent someone new.
